How RCE Connect uses your information

Who runs it. RCE Connect is run by the Alumni Cell of Ramachandra College of Engineering (Autonomous), Eluru, for its students, alumni, faculty and staff.

What we collect. Your name, email, role, branch, graduating year, and roll number or employee ID. Anything else is up to you: city, company, job title, phone number (optional), and what you can help with. We also keep what you post: questions, answers, openings, events, requests and RSVPs.

Why. To confirm you're part of the RCE community, and to help students, alumni and faculty find and help each other. We check sign-ups against the college's own records.

Who sees what.

• Other verified members see your name, role, branch and batch.
• Your city and company are shown unless you switch them off. Your email and phone are hidden unless you switch them on. You control all of this in Profile.
• When an alum accepts a mentoring or referral request, both of you can see each other's email so you can continue the conversation.
• When you RSVP to an event, the host sees your name.
• Anonymous questions hide your name from members. Admins can see who asked, and check anonymous questions before they go live.
• Your roll number or employee ID is never shown to other members.
• Admins can see your full profile so they can verify it and keep the site safe.
• Nothing is public. You have to be signed in and verified to see anything.

Notifications and emails. We send sign-in emails, and we may email you when someone answers your question, replies to your request, or approves your account. You can turn these alerts off in Profile. Emails are sent through a trusted email service on our behalf.

When you graduate. Students move to the Alumni portal automatically after their graduating year, so you stay part of the community.

Your choices. You can change your details and privacy settings at any time in Profile. To correct your branch, batch or roll number, or to delete your account and data, write to the Alumni Cell.

Where it's stored. On secure cloud servers used by the platform, with access rules that limit who can see what. We don't sell your data or show ads.
